Today I am going to talk about hacking now I know we talked about it in class but I thought I would expand on it for the people that maybe didn’t get it in class now I know we talked in class about how hacking for some people just for fun and they do it as a hobby and then it gets to the point where they start to get teams together and start to hack into some pretty substantial places like an example of a pretty famous hack is captain Zap and in the 1980s he hacked into the AT&ts computer system and moving around some metering clocks now that may sound harmless but this was famous because he was the first person to ever be tried as a hacker another famous hacker was Kevin Mitnick now he is famous because he hacked a lot of things he stole corporate information from different companies and he also even hacked his way into the national defense warning system he eventual got caught and sent to prison for five yearsTop Five hackers

Another famous hacker was Joseph Thomas he hacked into the FBI database with nothing more than a couple programs he found on the internet and he avoided jail time because the judge said he was too smart for his own good and was aquided. The last famous hack that I am going to tell you about is Gary Mckinnon he hacked into 97 us military computers in 13 months and he is now facing seven counts of computer crimes and will be facing 70 years behind bars. Like I said before there is more to hacking then just stealing information from places like I showed you with these examples but it is also a way to express yourself because you could also use hacking to modify games or other programs so then you can use them your own way But also what hacking is a type of community as well because hackers ten to socialize with each other and also they tend to share information or programs with each other
