Microsoft ERP Release Streamlines Retailing

The article I am going to talk about today is about Microsoft releasing streamlines in retailing and what this is going to be is a industry specific version of the vendors flagship ERP system that is designed to eliminate barriers that could be holding many retailers back like and example of this is it eliminates data silos by combining point of sale, inventory , supply chain, and financials into on application these are the components that cobble together with separate software and vendors. You may be wondering why they would want to be using this type of application for their business well because of the recant economic times this makes it easier for customers to buy whether they are in the store or online or even on the go they can still use the store and buy what they want. Another good thing about this application is that you can keep track of customers buying behaviors and maybe send them specific adds for things or maybe coupons for things that are going on sale that week.

Also another cool feature about this application that would help out a lot of businesses is this application allows for consistent customer experience that allows for customers to order online and then pick it up later that day and for many businesses before it was not possible because they would say they don’t have the technology for It yet  and also something that will help with sales is this program also runs a retail multichannel management system that ensures that promotions delivered through mobile devices or social channels will be recognized and redeemable through the in-store POS system. Similarly, in-store personnel will be able to see transactions that were conducted online, so customers will be able to return merchandise to stores even without the receipt. Also this software is able to run with 25 countries and has 23 local langues and this will help with trading and selling online with other countries also some other feature of this is include prebuilt, role-based user interfaces--think salespeople, store managers and regional managers in a retail setting. AX 2012 also has embedded business intelligence and analytics capabilities that can be used to deliver dashboards and reports with the aid of Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Services
