                                                                                                                                 Morgan Billings

Just when you think youtube can not get any more crazier, they now have released the next generation of the way we search videos and connect around the world. the new tool, which replaces YouTube’s Insight page and  will provide video viewing data that’s more user friendly for the average person.  The new YouTube Analytics tool is also intended to help people grow their channel subscriptions and see exactly what’s getting a positive reaction from viewers.

" Check out some of the latest features in Analytics:"
  • A Quick Overview: A new overview provides all of the information that you care about quickly, while also enabling you to easily access more detailed information.
  • More Detailed Reports: Analytics now includes more detailed statistics so that you can have a more precise understanding of your content and audiences.
  • Audience Builders: Discover which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions.
  • Audience Retention: See how far viewers are watching through your video in the new audience retention report. - http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2011/11/announcing-youtube-analytics-next.html
With this new technology people around the world can see more and more information about videos and where they come from, but is this new tool too revealing and could it cause a potential safety hazard to users or even hackers? personally i think the more information people around the world put on the internet the more dangerous it can be. if people can hack bank of america and the NYSE why would youtube be any different? yes, it is cool all the different features but when is enough enough?
