intro to class

My name is Derrick Moore. I am sophomore majoring in marketing at Nichols College. I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1990 on September 4th. I moved down to Boca Raton, Florida when I was an infant around 1992. I have lived in Boca a majority of my life until last year when I moved up to Dudley Massachusetts to attend Nichols College.

I have an older brother and older sister. My sister has four kids, all of them by different fathers. It is pretty hard for my family at times when dealing with all four kids. 

Thanks to my brother who had put me in a football stance when I was an infant, I would have not had an opportunity to play college football here at Nichols.  If it was not for football I would not have been able to attend college since my SAT scores were not up to part. I had torn my ACL ligament when I was a junior in high school before my senior season. It was one of the most devastating injures and times of my life. I have learned certain things happen in life that can affect your future. I now have a beautiful girlfriend thanks to coming to Nichols College.

What I want to be able to learn in this class is being able to use a spreadsheet application since I am a marketing major I need to be able to learn how to do all of those certain things when in the business field. I also want to be able to organize and plan an installation or implementation of software or hardware in a business environment which will help me in the long run of the business field. Finally I want to be able to evaluate software or hardware on its potential success in a specific business.

After reading the article I notice people in the business Wages of computer and information systems managers they make a lot of money. I could see myself being able to work there and hopefully one day having a job in a field that pays that amount of money.
