intro Morgan Billings

                Hello my name is Morgan Billings and I am from a small town located 20 miles south of Boston called Scituate.  I play golf here at Nichols which is fun because its free golf every day and you get to travel and play some of the best courses in New England. Off the field I am a TV salesman at Sears. It is a fun job because I love technology. But, it’s a commission based job so you have to be on your feet ready for the customer. On my free time I like hanging with friends going to bars and also have a strong interest in cars.  Other than that I am a sophomore at Nichols majoring in business. I use to live on campus but I hated it because of the rules and lack of space. So no I am renting an apartment in Webster which is nice because I have my own room living room and kitchen and never have to worry about public safety creeping around. The funny thing that people don’t know is it is thousands of dollars cheaper living off campus than on and you actually enjoy it more.

                From this class I am looking to obtain information about computers and using that knowledge to benefit me in my career. Everything now is all technology and how people adapt to it to use it to their advantage so the more you are informed about it the better your decision at work will be. After reading the article it just shows how crazy of a world computer and information systems is. Long hours usually 50+ a week can certainly take a toll on the brain but their paychecks are pretty nice. The people who work for these companies are very smart and are always learning more and more every week. It is a fast paced environment with people solving different programming methods and fine tuning other computer related issues. These people do not leave until the problem is fixed or the deadline is met.
