final reflection

      Final Reflection
                                                Morgan Billings
Being the tech savvy kind of guy I am I was aware of many of the topics we went over in MIS this year but did not understand them fully. I knew bits and pieces about things we use all the time but not in depth. I enjoyed taking this class this year because I liked the material we covered. I believe technology rules the world and the people who are good at things with technology do well in life.
The thing I hated this year was excel. But after the excel project I realized it wasn’t as bad as I though. Learning the codes and the easy way to add, subtract, and total information not only saved me a bunch of time but is also more accurate too. I am definitely going to use this when I do projects or when I enter the workforce. Okay, well maybe excel was so bad before because I entered number by number down like a robot but I didn’t know what else to do.
My favorite thing about the class was reading those articles. I really did find them interesting and knowledgeable; I just didn’t want to write after I read it. My favorite ones were about cyber-crime and the anonymous group. The fact they over threw so many big time companies was pretty cool but at the same time frightening because there are a lot of people who can do it to you and your computer. If you think of the word criminal you think of a gangster or someone messed up, not a computer geek. It’s funny how dependent we are with technology and how much personal information we store in there. The things I learned in MIS about internet safety gave me a new outlook to be more careful.
I truly enjoyed this class because I liked the material. I think you are a great teacher because you are fair, nice, and have great people skills that get the class engaged. Thank you for a great semester I truly learned a lot and I am very thankful.
